My question now is that i seemed to have lost that part would i be able to buy something like that at radio shack?

It fits only into 2/3 but the light seems to flash when i hit the reset button. though now it says it can't find COM4 and won't allow me to choose one.

I un installed it and re installed it restarted my computer it seems to be working now!

Heh. Been there, done that (couldn't figure out why my (arduino-thing) wasn't working, when in fact I had left off the power jumper.) It's an easy mistake to make, even with lots of experience. "How did I break it so badly that I don't even have a power LED?" Sigh.
