Hello,
I recently purchase 2 xbee modules(Series 1 802.15.4) with no antennas. Is there any way I can make an antenna? Or do I have to purchase an official xbee antenna to get these to work. I only plan on having a range of a meter or so.
-Thanks

Those modules have an on-board 'chip' antenna. It is more than sufficient for the range you are talking about.

I know what chip antenna your talking about. Its the square fractal one mounted on top but for some reason mine did not come with any.

Were these modules purchased from Adafruit?

Re: Making an XBee Antenna
There are several different antenna options on the XBee modules. All ours come with built-in antennae.
You should contact the place you bought them to find out exactly what you have, and what your options are.

They do make a model with a UFL connector on it, that may be what you have. Otherwise, contact your supplier.
