Programming an M-Shield Board + Stepper Motor to Work like an Analogue Clock

Post by Kimalye »

Hello all,

I'm currently trying to create a clock with two stepper motors connected to a dual motor shield board. The board can be viewed in this link http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Motor-Drive-Shie ... ~60_35.JPG.

I guess I am unsure where to start. I've got everything hooked up and moving, but I am unsure of how to make one of the stepper motors to rotate 1 tick over every minute and the other stepper motor to rotate a certain amount every hour. I would like to have the motors rotate 360 degrees without resetting, like a normal clock with hands that rotate clockwise only.

My grasp of programming concepts is a fairly weak, so I was hoping if I could get some pointers on how I might go about programming the board. If any other information is needed on the components, I can provide it!

Thank you for your time!

Regards,
Kimalye

The board pictured is not an Adafruit MotorShield. You should contact the seller for technical support.
