Motors as Led Pixels

Post by mungle »

I think Led Pixels are a powerful solution to drive a lot of channel with just a few cable connections.

There is a similar product for motors that can be stepper or DC motors ?

I have to drive a around 10 motors that have to roll up a rope but I have not a lot of space so I was looking for a solution similar to Led Pixels.

On the web there are a lot of project and drivers but they are really expensive for me and the posts in the other forum are old! I hope on 2012 we found a similar solution!!!

Thank you everybody!

Pololu has some motor controllers with a serial interface. These might be a good solution for your application.

You don't mention what kind of motor you need, or if you have already spec'd them/purchased them yet, but if a continuous-rotation hobby servo...

...to drive them. That would be super-easy to do.

Good luck with your project!
