Hi!
I'm looking to build a really basic data logger that will be brought in each night for charging and data dumping -- preferably over the same line for simplicity. From the LiPo chargers and shields that I've seen, the USB data lines are never available when charging the LiPo battery.
Am I incorrect? Is there a relatively simple way charge a LiPo battery while simultaneously using the Arduino's serial line?
The other option I'm considering is the passive PoE kits that are available, but there's a cost and code size hit there.

The data lines on our USB LiPo chargers are not connected. There is nothing to prevent you from using them while charging.
