Connecting Logisys CCFL Deluxe Kits to Arduino Uno

Post by sean kelley »

I am looking to make a project in which I need to connect 8 of the Logisys 15" CCFL Deluxe Kit lights to my arduino uno. Each inverter can connect two lights to the power source. Each light has an input voltage of DC12 volt, an input current of 700mA, and uses a 4 pin molex connector with a pass through. I can connect two lights to each inverter so I am looking for a way to connect 4 of the 4 pin molex connectors which have two lights each to my arduino uno. Is there a way that I can chain the connectors together, or stack a specific shield so that I can obtain the results I am looking for by only using one arduino?

You know you can't connect these directly to the uno don't you? If you could supply a link to the datasheet that would help but you will probably need to use MOSFETs to supply the current you need at the voltage required.
