LED Backpack with Soft I2C

by atomicwire on Thu May 30, 2013 1:19 pm

Is there a way to implement soft I2C with an LED backpack. I'm not a real cpp whiz. I have the Adafruit_GFX, and Adafruit_LEDBackpack, and I2cMaster libraries loaded up but looking at the examples I can't tell how to link them.
Basically I have a 7-segment LED back and I want to connect the SDA and SCL pins to digital pins 8 and 9.

The LED Backpack library does not have support for software i2c.

Oh.
Thanks
But I'm a bit surprised. Seems completely doable.
Sometime when I get the chance I play with it some more.

I agree. It is likely doable with a bit of library hacking. If you get it working, post your results. :)

if you need the analog pins you could hang this guy off of a4 and a5 along with the led backpack.
