Hi!

This is my first project with Arduino and I would like some advice, please! Here is my plan:

I want to use five Force Sensitive Resistors. I am going to attach the five FSR's to a metal board. When a magnet or magnets are placed on the different FSR's, it will send the info to the Arduino then on to a display where it will show the number of magnets (1-5) that are pressing down on the FSR's.

Is this doable?

If so, what supplies will I need besides the Arduino Uno and the five FSR's?

Thank you!!!

It's possible in theory, but depends on the weight of your magnets.

Our force sensitive resistors have a working range between 0.2N and 20N (in practical terms, they can weigh objects between 20 grams and 20 kilograms). We have a tutorial that explains how to use them here: http://learn.adafruit.com/force-sensiti ... r/overview

If your magnets are sufficently heavy, you should probably be able to see a change in the resistance of the FSRs beneath them.
When you void a product warranty, you give up your right to sue the manufacturer if something goes wrong and accept full responsibility for whatever happens next. And then you truly own the product.
