pca9685
what is the difference between a pca9685 driver and an 9685 shield i am using fritzing and have uploaded adafruit library but the library only contains pca9685 servo driver. I have just ordered a shield ,to use with my arduino uno, can nyone tell me the difference?

The chips are the same and use the same library. The only difference between the shield and the breakout is how the connections are arranged.
