Hello!!
I am very interested in doing a project with the arduino and barcode scanner CCD module from adafruit!
https://www.adafruit.com/products/1202
However, it seems like this is out of stock... I need a module that can transmit the information to the arduino, and save it in memory.
Would the adafruit USB connection one still work to communicate with the Arduino? Is there any way to perhaps cut some cables and use it with my arduino?
Would anyone know when the bar code scanner CCD module with the PS/2 connection will be available?
Thank you,
Bar Code Scanner

Re: Bar Code Scanner
It would take some hacking of the USB module to make it work as a straight serial device. We don't support that - you would be on your own if you tried it.
Nickr4 in this thread has done it, and describes the process.

I would expect the PS/2 scanner to be back in stock shortly. I can check on that...

Re: Bar Code Scanner
The PS/2 scanner should be back in stock within 5-10 business days. You can sign up for a back-in-stock notification on the product page
