ads1015 - garbage on floating pins

Post by figgyb »

Measuring an oxygen cell output with one of the pins of an ads1015 and noticed that the others are all showing garbage voltages, possibly noise? I am running at x16, measuring 5~100mV range so every mV counts :) SingleEnded read. If I ground the unused pins they show 511.9mV instead of 0.

Any thoughts?

You should not allow the inputs to float, Use a 10K to 100K resistor to ground. You should be getting 0 if you have an input grounded. Could you post your code so we can have a look? Thanks.
