ATtiny85 switch off?

Post by bubblebobble »

Hi!

I have built a simple Arduino (Trinket) circuit that controls strip LED's with a single momentary pushbutton.

I'm running both from a battery.

Is there anyway to switch the ATtiny85 completely off and then wake it up without using a second mechanical switch? - some sort of circuit design?

My issue is battery consumption even using the power saving modes available on the chip.

Thank you!

It adds parts but this is the idea. http://www.mosaic-industries.com/embedd ... wer-switch
Or you could just get this https://www.adafruit.com/product/1400
