Board layouts and block schematics needed

Post by flounder »

I've downloaded the Adafruit EAGLE libraries from Github, but the important devices I need are missing: the MENTA, the half-size protoboard, the Powerboost module, and the EZ-Key, among others. My goal is to make a "shield" for the MENTA using the protoboard to hold my custom controls (and no, it won't fit in the tin, but that's why there are 3D printers). I want to lay out the schematic as well, and I need to see the units as blocks with pins for connections.

You can find board files on github. With new products, it may take a little while before they are cleaned up for publication.

The Menta is here: https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit-Menta
Perma Protos are here: https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit-Perma-Proto-PCB
EZ-Key is here: https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit-Bl ... assic-PCBs

I'll see if I can track down the powerboost files:

Thanks. I should have looked more closely, but the advice was to download the zip file and not the individual files. Will look more closely when I get back to my desktop machine.

The EAGLE library doesn't have pinouts for our boards as modules! You'll have to either make them by hand or place 0.1" holes in your PCB to plug 'em in.

I'm not sure I understand that last part, about making the holes and plugging them in. Haven't been back to the desktop yet, so haven't had a chance to look at it.
