I've never had a problem with USPS! they're always spot-on. but they dont have as many variables like discounts, residential fees, fuel surcharges, signature on delivery charges, etc. like fedex.

if i had a shop or storefront then of course it would be different, but since i run my small business out of my apartment so i think its common sense to not have pickup. i think most people who live in new york city would agree its a good idea!
regardless, i've had some customers come to my home -anyways- and do some really ridiculously inappropriate things :?
but that's how all the best BANNED gets started! oh wait... i guess you already know

On a related note, impatient people should avoid ordering things on holiday Thursdays. Perfectly reasonable shipping turnaround (1 business day, as previously mentioned in this thread) turns into an agonizing wait.

No kidding...it makes for some agonizing support calls and emails on the Monday after, too. Especially from international customers who may not be paying attention to American holidays anyway. We had some people place next-day-air orders late on Wednesday....
