LOCKED- READ THREAD, BUYER BEWARE - Xoxbox group buy ~ $450?

Hi all.
I have always wanted a Xoxbox, but never had the time to build one. I am mostly interested in hacking the sequencer with extra features.

I recently found someone that is building completed xoxen, but I have to buy several units to make it worth his time. I know I just joined the forum today and that looks suspicious. I will provide any info you need to prove I am not some scammer.

I only want one, so Is anyone interested in buying the extra xoxboxes for about $450?
I might be able to get them for $400 if enough people are interested.

Its a group called Technology Transplant. They sell vintage synth replacement parts on ebay and they are starting to build xoxboxes now too.

Cy is getting into the x0x biz? wowza. I have bought all sorts of the TT parts over the years and they are a class act IMHO. Cy knows his business...

Thanks Isak! Thats 5 more people! It looks like we will hit the lower price point with this many.

We are planning to place our order on the 24th of May.

The price points are:
3+ units: USD$450
12+ units: @USD$400
25+ units: @USD$375

We are now at 10 committed units. I would rather not, but I am willing to buy up to 2 extra units to push us to the 12+ price and then sell those later either here or on eBay, so at this point we will hit $400/unit.

I want to have all money collected by Monday May 24th. Shipping from me to anywhere within the USA should be about $11 via USPS flat rate box. If you want a shipping estimate in Israel, you will have to PM Isak for details.

This is distributor pricing, so CY has asked me to handle collecting individual payments and distributing the units. For the lower price, he does not want to deal with individualized shipping or payments. I will ask again though.

I trust CY at his word that he will deliver what we have ordered. Do you mean as far as Warranty? As far as I know it is covered by the same Warranty as when you buy a single unit, but I will ask him just to be sure.

If you are concerned about me collecting the money, I am willing to post my address and a photo of myself infront of my house so you can confirm it with Google street view. If you need a character witness, PM dnigrin. He and I worked on an MC-202 Hack application a few years ago. Would any other info help?

Thank you for your reply mate.
I believe that your aim is true.

The thing is that I'd feel more peaceful paying about $500 (x0xb0x for $400 + shipping & taxes) if there will be at least small involvement / statement of Technology Transplant. In the end Technology Transplant should receive their money for building the magic boxes. Who knows if some errors will come up - and then, what should buyers do? Google Earth might not be enough...

I think it's kinda reasonable that the payment will be via Technology Transplant's PayPal...

Is there any obligation for the time it will take to build & ship the magic boxes?

And of course a Warranty statement is very welcome as well.
