$300 shipped for the partially stuffed PCB with transistors, pots, microcontroller, and colored switch caps. You will need to source the components that have not been installed.
I've marked off the pieces that I've stuffed from the BOM, which I'll include.

Re: FS: mb808 "kit"
Oooh, seriously tempting... Looks difficult for a beginner tho.
How much more is needed approximately, in terms of components?
Itll have to be next month at the absolute earliest, financially from my point of view. If someone else wants to snap up then let them have it.
Been drooling over one for a while i must admit.

Blimey that was quick. Nice one.
Would love one of those badboys but it looks very daunting for a noob. Similarly the 9090.

personally i dont think the 9090 is quite as exciting as the mb808 simply since there's no internal sequencer.Paradigm X wrote:Blimey that was quick. Nice one.

Supposedly there's a MB909 coming at some point that will add a sequencer to the 9090, but I don't think it will be anytime soon

Owning both, I have to agree. Running the 9090 off the MB808 seq is fun though, someone really needs to make a midi only standalone version of that.
mazatta, do not taunt the queue of Doug. It is a bad thing to do.

Altitude, very roughly how much more difficult is the mb808 vs the x0x? Not that ill be getting one anytime soon.
Id much prefer that TBH, i tink the d16/ADM/samples route for 909 is close enough personally (not like i wouldnt love a real one tho) but the 808 no-ones nailed yet.
Anyone tried the miami?
Cheers

Re: Sold: mb808 "kit"
5 or 6 times the complexity. With the x0x you are dealing with one osc, amp, env, and filter and with the MB808 you are dealing with a dozen and the voices have inter dependencies (i.e. shared noise sources). This is what I would classify as an advanced project.
