Hello,
I'm having trouble tracking down a 9v AC power transformer.....
Does anyone happen to know where i might pick one up that runs on 240v mains?
Thanks
Pete

If you're UK based this may be a cheaper option

I have one of these already (although mine looks a little different - but my amazon history says that's the one...)

I'm a real novice at this and what I was calling a power transformer is actually something else technically and what i want is maybe called a power supply???? anyways u knows wat i mean? I'll keep on a search chin

Hi Mikron try this,
Specs:
9VAC 300-500mA
2.1mm barrel adaptor.
it looks like it has the 2.1mm Barrel type (and all of the others) and it's 1Amp (1000mA), so with a splitter cable, it should run 2 of them fine.

I agree with danyool001, the one he refers to is a closer match to the standard x0xb0x power supply (500mA). I pointed out the other as I always look for something that has some other uses (extra plugs), as well as some power to spare (1000mA).danyool001 wrote:Pete..

Re: x0xb0x power transformer hard to get?
Thanks very much for that. You make it too easy for me! I thought maybe I needed a regulated supply ( that explains why i was having so much trouble searching ) Seems the unregulated ones at radioparts and jaycar would both do the trick then?
Cheers

Guys, just look on eBay for the transformer. I got mine from eBay for $5 with free shipping. It came two days after I ordered it.

Re: x0xb0x power transformer hard to get?
help people in Oz! i need another plug pack!
4 years on and the 500ma 9V AC adapter from radio parts is discontinued
they have a 670 ma one but is this ok for my x0x?
http://www.radioparts.com.au/product/33 ... b7AwZx5f_A
I've also been lead to believe the 1000ma one from jaycar is no good as AC plugpacks are unregulated and will provide a higher voltage if all of the 1000ma isnt used? < does this sound right ?
thanks guys
