Question on reprogramming

Post by alexj212 »

I have it all built, I was able to upload the weather wigit. Now my dumb question comes in, how do I get to the bios page once I have a wigit installed. It goes into running the wigit once the ip is received.

thanks

good to hear it works, do you mean the webpage?
i usually just 'look fast' :)
darco, maybe we should change the infowidget so it displays the IP addr (kinda like the twitter / clock)

It was a good build, the only problem are my eyes and reading the resistor bands. Thanks to the fluke I was able to test the resistors before putting them in.

I got it all built and I installed the weather wigit. Now I want to put another wigit on, I get the bios boot screen, I get and IP and it jumps into the weather wigit. Hoe do I write in another program once I am in the weather wigit program. Thats my issue

From the bootloader docs I found how to avoid the autoload

QUICK REFERENCE

TO RESET: Hold down the button while booting. Keep holding it
down until the system reboots. You will hear a lot of warning chirps,
but make sure you hold down the button until it reboots! After it reboots
let go. Your ybox2 has been reset. This will erase every setting except
for the MAC address, UUID, and LED configuration. If you forget the
password, this is what you need to do.

TO BYPASS AUTOBOOT: Hold down the button while booting until you hear a single
"groan" and the screen displays "Autoboot aborted.". At this point,
the ybox2 will boot as if autoboot were disabled. This only applies
to the current boot. DON'T HOLD DOWN THE BUTTON TOO LONG, OR ELSE THE
UNIT WILL RESET.

TO BOOT INTO STAGE2: When the bootloader is 'idle' (rainbow-colored LED), press
and release the button. Don't hold the button down, or else you will
toggle the video mode!

TO TOGGLE NTSC/PAL: When the bootloader is 'idle' (rainbow-colored LED), press
and hold the button until you hear a chirp---then let go.
