Arduino mega 2560 and Wave Shield -ErrorData

I'm using the following:
Arduino mega 2560
Wave Shield 1.1
SD 2GB - PNY Optima
Windows xp and win 7

When I run SdReadTest I get the following errors.

First time I run it:
card.init failed
SD error
errorCode: 1
errorData: FF

Second time I test it
card.init failed
SD error
errorCode: 1
errorData: 0

I have the WaveHC file in this location:
path\arduino-0022\libraries\WaveHC

I had a friend check my soldering, and he says it looks good, and that shouldn't be the problem. I'm new at this so I dont know if this helps, but when I press the reset button on it, I notice the light blinks on the arduino, so there's some communication going on.

Anything else I should check?
