Hi Everyone,
Ive just finished setting up the motor shield but I cant get it to work, if I plug in a servo it gives it a little push but shuts off in about 2 seconds.
The green light is off also. I check for voltage across the LED, Capacitors and all give me 9V. Any suggestions?

Re: Motor Shield Problem
Post some photos of the front and back of the board and we will have a look for any assembly problems.

Re: Motor Shield Problem
The photos are too blurry to see much.
What are you using to power your Arduino?
What power source do you have connected to the external power terminals on the Arduino?
You should not have 9v across just the led. Are you sure you installed it with the correct polarity?I check for voltage across the LED, Capacitors and all give me 9V
The servos run off the Arduino 5v supply. They should be powered as long as your Arduino is powered.I plug in a servo it gives it a little push but shuts off in about 2 seconds.

Re: Motor Shield Problem
As the tutorial says:
If you want to run from batteries, this is a much better choice: http://www.adafruit.com/index.php?main_ ... cts_id=248You can't run motors off of a 9V battery so don't even waste your time/batteries!

Ok so the LED Light is on, running the motor test program, servo starts and stops and the Dc motor wont run.

Re: Motor Shield Problem
Its a 6Volt DC Motor, using the motor test code with a AC to DC power supply plugged into the wall.

Re: Motor Shield Problem
Does the motor make any noise at all?
With the program running, can you measure any voltage on the terminals for M4?
