Motor shield, wanting to change ports

Post by spookingdorf »

I work in the UK education sector. I have some bespoke software that I want to use with schoolchildren aged 10/11 that acccess ports 4/5 and 6/7 to control 2 DC motors and I'm assuming that I need to remap the ports for the adafruit motor shield. Could someone give me a few pointers on where to look to be able to do this? eg I want to map port 4 and 5 to a pair of the connectors on the motor shield, ports 6 and 7 to another pair to give me 2 reversible vsriable-speed motors.

Many TIA

It might help if we knew a little more about the software you are using. If it is written in C or C++ for the Arduino, it should not be difficult to map in calls to the AFMotor library.
