Hi there.
I've had my motor shield up and running for some time, so I am fairly confident that my soldering and code is correct. All of a sudden while driving my motor today it stopped working altogether. No more green LED light, no sign of life at all. Did I fry my 4-H bridges? No visible damage on the chips themselves, and I didn't see any smoke or smell anything when it stopped working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Motor Shield Died....
Are you using Arduino power, or the EXP_PWR connection? In either case, the LED should light, even if the bridges are fried.
Is the Arduino still running? Check all your power connections.

Re: Motor Shield Died....
I am using the EXT_PWR terminals. I have two Arduino's and have tested the shield on both, but still nothing. The wires are connected correctly. Any specific components I should probe?

Re: Motor Shield Died....
As an additional note. I am using an Agilent voltage source to supply my shield with 25 volts. When the voltage source is on, it only delivers 2 V, instead of the 25 I am asking of it. Could there be a short somewhere?

If your voltage source has a current-limiting feature, that may be kicking in. Disconnect the motors and measure the voltage again. When the voltage source is on, it only delivers 2 V, instead of the 25 I am asking of it.

I've got no motors connected to it right now. Brought it into the lab to diagnose whatever issues it's having right now. Also, the current limit is 1.3A, the max of the bridges, and my motor.

Post some photos of the board. You might also try popping out the H-bridge chips one at a time to see if one of them is shorted internally.

Bridges removed - LEDs on. Time for new drivers?

Re: Motor Shield Died....
Sounds like it. You must be running them close to the edge. You might consider piggy-backing 2 of them for a little more headroom.
