Which Diode for Motor Shield & SN754410NE ?

Post by joymonkey »

I'm hoping to try out the motor shield with this motor...
http://www.skycraftsurplus.com/pittmana ... motor.aspx
( Pittman GM9236C364 gear reduction DC motor, Rated 19.1 vdc, useable from 6vdc to 24vdc, 130mA at 12v with no load )

I'll be using a maximum of 12v, not sure about current with load but probably under 2A peak.
I was thinking of piggybacking a couple of SN754410NE's, but I don't know what kind of kickback-protection diode I'll need.
Any suggestions?

You can probably get by without them: http://forums.adafruit.com/viewtopic.ph ... 5&p=111117
