Cellular Shield SM5100B and Arduino UNO

Post by uink »

I posted this earlier in the arduino forum, but i think it should be here!

I have a SM5100B cell shield and an antenna. I am using the SIM card from my AT&T phone. I am following the tutorial on http://tronixstuff.BANNED.com/2011/0 ... -part-one/
In both my serial monitor and the terminal download, when my shield prints the +Sind numbers, it skips number 11(registered to network). Why is it doing that? I think it has something to do with my SIM card. I have an AT&T one, and called their customer support, but they didn't tell me anything.

It prints:

Starting SM5100B Communication...

+SIND: 1

+SIND: 10,"SM",1,"FD",1,"LD",1,"MC",1,"RC",1,"ME",1

+SIND: 3

+SIND: 4

+SIND: 8

hiya, hmm - we do not sell or support the cellular shield, you might want to post in the forums of the company you bought it from and/or utilize their tech support?

thanks,

Here is a solution to this problem http://www.tinkeringtech.com/2011/12/sp ... hield.html. There's also a ton of user feedback at the bottom of this page http://www.sparkfun.com/products/9607
