Stacking OpAmps on the WaveShield

Post by yvest »

Hi,

On the Halloween pumpkin project (http://www.ladyada.net/make/pumpkin/pumpkin.html), there is a bit that suggest stacking two Op amps to get louder sounds on the speaker.

I tried to do the same and it's not working for me.

First, I tried to stack two TL072. All I got was weak distortion coming out of the speakers.

Then I tried to stack a TL072 with a TS922. That wasn't any louder then either just the TL072 or the TS922...

I don't have two TS922 to see if that's any louder.

Should two TS922 stacked be any louder then what I current have?

Thank you!
