Noise in Wave Shield

Post by bdmsb »

I have six Wave Shields. Five of them work fine. The sixth one has a background buzz in the audio that's not in the WAV file. The buzz ends when the program stops playing the WAV file. It's not real loud, but is easy to hear when the WAV file is quiet. Is there any component that has been found to cause such a problem?

You might try swapping the shield to a different Arduino & power supply to rule that out as the source of the noise.

Good call. As it happens, it does appear to be the Arduino that introduced the noise.
