Motor Shield wrong Part Count

Post by kelsorj »

I bought your motor shield http://www.adafruit.com/products/81 from Jameco
out here in San Francisco. I opened up the package and I think the
capacitors aren't correct, please see pictures ( http://gallery.me.com/kelsorj#100271 ). There are 3 of the 47 uF and 2 100uF.
Jameco won't take the kit back because I opened it and I want to check
with you to make sure that the parts are actually incorrect.
Thanks,
Reed

Check the numbers on the capacitors (both the microfarads and the voltage)
The colors do change depending on the supplier, so they are not always identical to the photos.

I thought that could be the case. So I double checked and it is the wrong count for the 100 and 47uF parts.

also, you can use a 47 uF in place of a 100uF if you're in a rush - even tho its not as high capacitance, it doesn't really make a difference :)
