Wave Shield + Airsoft

Post by phatninja »

Hey all-

I thought it would be neat to hook up an airsoft gun's motor to an arduino with the wave shield to play a gun fire noise each time it shot a bb. Is the wave shield appropriate for this? I mean, assuming the wav file is of short enough duration, would the arduino and wave shield play the file quickly enough and frequently enough (typical airsoft gun fires 10-20 bbs per second)?

I for some reason cannot view the demo video on this site.

Thanks!

The wave shield is capable of that. But you may have to hack and tune the example software a bit to get those repetition rates.
