SD Card Soldering

Post by omggopher »

Wave test!
Free RAM: 688
Error: Card init. failed!
SD I/O error: 1, 0
I've perused the forum, and "most often these are soldering problems"

Well, I'm gonna take some nice images of my wave shield, could someone give these a look over? I'd appreciate it.

I've uploaded the pictures into an ImageShack gallery at http://imageshack.us/g/708/dsc00632resized50.jpg/

If you could get some straight-on shots it would be good. The joints on the SD card holder are the most likely suspects, so try to get those in good focus. Some appear to show symptoms of a 'cold joint'. Re-touch any joint that is not smooth and shiny.

You missed the last assembly step: http://www.ladyada.net/make/waveshield/solder.html
