Hey guys, I soldered up the Data Logger Shield last weekend and I'm having trouble getting it working.
1. When I read the time from the RTC, it's always the same time
2. The SD card isn't detected
I poked around a bit with the ol' multimeter and found the right voltage coming off the regulator but I'm not sure where to go from there; I'm assuming that whatever is wrong it's something global to both devices, but I've been wrong before
Any suggestions on where to go from here?

Re: Data Logger Shield Troubleshooting
Post some nice clear photos of the front & back of the board and we'll look for any assembly issues.

Re: Data Logger Shield Troubleshooting
One pin on your RTC socket is not fully soldered. There is solder on the pin, but it did not flow onto the pad. Another pin appears to be a cold-joint - and there are a few other suspicious looking ones elsewhere on the board.
Re-touch any joints that are not smooth and shiny, or where the solder has not flowed well onto both the pin and the pad. Look especially closely at the surface mount pins of the SD card holder. Make sure that the solder has wetted the pad under the pin.

That was it, I went over a few of the suspicious solder joins and we're back in business; thanks!
