I'm sorry…I don't know how or where to post images. (Internet presence is something I am taught to minimize. I have never done photo-sharing.)
If you could point me in the right direction (what website?) I may be able to get approval.
BTW, I already checked the solder and everything looks fine to me.

There is an "Upload Attachment" tab below the message editing window. You can post photos there.

Images! Excuse the resolution–I used our iPad. If they're too awful, I'll dig out the real camera and get proper ones.

Try outside or near a window. More light will give you a better photo.

Where did you purchase this board?

Just asking the obvious - did you install the WAVHC library downloaded for Adafruit wave shield. My problem came from modified library.

Sorry for the major delay…schoolwork intervened and I had serious computer issues.
I got better images!
And I purchased it at Radio Shack, and yes, I downloaded the standard libraries.

You have quite a few solder joints which look either solder-starved or look as if the solder has not flowed onto the pad.
Please review our Guide to Excellent Soldering for help in identifying and correcting these problems.

In particular, the solders on the pot pins andy on the 16-pin dip look suspicious. It's a little hard to tell from the picture, but you should examine all of the solders on the board to make sure they are solid and have flowed well.

Uh oh, sounds like my hardware guy screwed up again
I'll get him on it and let you know if it's fixed.

UPDATE: PROBLEM RESOLVED
I found a more capable person willing to resolder the bad joints and everything is working!!
Thank you for your help,
