Hey so sorry to bother you!
I met the same problem!
I bought a PN532 RFID breakout board and I use the SPI.
My connection is same as what u offered on the site.
It used to work perfectly well.
But after several times, it keep showing "Didn't find PN53X board."
My project due date is one month later, and I am veryveryvery panic and worried now.
Can you teach me how to check whether the inner connection of the board is damaged or not?
Many thanks!
PLS HELP!! THIS PROJECT IS VERYVERYVERY IMPORTANT TO ME!!!

Hey ive been trying to execute the babel fish example too. When i tested the PN352RFID/NFC shield i was able to compile sketch
perfectly but on uploading the sketch i got this error:

avrdude: ser_open(): can't set com-state for "\\.\COM3"

On another occasion it compiled and uploaded perfectly but the BUSY led turned off. I understand it is supposed to flicker but that didnt happen and
hence the card was not read

Here is the picture of the connections
When i tried mounting the WAVE shield and uploading mifare i got the following error:

Arduino: 1.6.4 (Windows 8.1), Board: "Arduino Uno"
Sketch uses 8,668 bytes (26%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32,256 bytes.
Global variables use 1,043 bytes (50%) of dynamic memory, leaving 1,005 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2,048 bytes.
avrdude: ser_open(): can't open device "\\.\COM3": The system cannot find the file specified.
Problem uploading to board. See http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Troubleshooting#upload for suggestions.
