Motor Shield Pins

Postby maddhat » Fri Nov 16, 2012 7:03 pm

Using the motor shield and an Arduino Uno and trying to free up as many digital pins as possible. I see printed that pins D4,7,8,12 are reserved (indicated by a white dot) and I have a stepper motor connected to M3/M4 and not using any servos. Are there any of the reserved pins I can remove because I'm not using servos? Or are D4,7,8,12 reserved no matter what?

Appreciate any help.

Thank you! So in my case I'll have 4,7,8,12 reserved as well as 5, 6 for the stepper. Thank you for directing me to the correct post.
