Reset button not working on LCD shield

Post by stefan.wiswedel »

Hey all,

SO, I have the 16x2 standard LCD shield (http://www.adafruit.com/products/772) and it all works beautifully except for the reset button. I am using it in 'detached' mode at the moment but it didn't work while attached either.

Any ideas?

If you post photos of the front & back of the board, we'll check things out. For the reset to work detached you would need run a wire for the reset pin in addition to power and I2C. But if it doesn't work attached either, something is amiss...

You only have 4 wires there. For the reset to work you need to connect the reset pin too.

Find the pin labeled "RESET" on your UNO (It is right next to the 3.3v pin). Connect that to the corresponding pin on the shield.
