Running 3 Stepper Motors

Post by millis »

Hello,

What's the best way to run 3 stepper motors?

My Adafruit Motor/Stepper/Servo Shield for Arduino is truly phenomenal but it only supports two servos.

Thank you,

millis

If you search these forums, there was a fairly simple hack posted that let you stack 2 shields to run up to 4 steppers. There were a few limitations, but nothing too serious.

Other than that, Pololu has a pretty good range of modular motor control breakouts. You should be able to put together a 3-motor controller from them.
