Motor Shield Problem

Postby steeev » Sat Dec 22, 2012 4:41 pm

My new Motor Shield lights up red when connected to a Arduino Uno Rev 3. At this point I could only test it with a servo, which worked fine. Dont have any motors to test so could someone please tell me ( mayby a link to the functions of the LED ) if the LED should light green when connected to a controller? The Uno is powered by USB but I also tested it with a 9V external batterie, same effect, LED red...

Post photos of the shield so we know the exact model. Where did you purchase the shield?

That is not an Adafruit motor shield. You'll have to contact the manufacturer for support.

Thx for the reply. I will contact the manufacturer. But generally is it a fault when the LED lights red without any motors connected?

Our shields don't have red LEDs. You will have to ask the manufacturer what that means.
