data logger shield documentation conflict

Postby npiguy » Tue Dec 25, 2012 3:39 pm

The page http://www.ladyada.net/make/logshield/download.html states that the code writes and reads SD cards. The schematic image on the same page shows no connection to the SD card data out pin. No where can I find a schematic later than ver. 1.0 My Adafruit Data Logger shield card has no version number that I can find. Where does the error lie here? i.e., is the statement that you can read the card in error, or is the available schematic out of date? Thanks for your help sorting this out.

It's all good. At the top left, you can see MISO connects to digital pin 12.

Thanks! The geezer is goin' blind. Also, it never occurred this old timer unfamiliar with mixed supply voltage logic situations that a 3.3V guaranteed high output would be a 5V guaranteed high input. The lack of level translation electronics led me to assume that there were no SD card to Arduino data. Oops!
