USING RGB LCD Shield Kit w/ 16x2 Character Display with Parallax Propeller Quickstart

I am looking to use the RGB LCD Shield Kit w/ 16x2 Character Display with Parallax Propeller Quickstart.

I have tried using I2c with the propeller and haven't had a lot of luck.

Was hoping someone has already done some SPIN and/or has some objects that work.

If so, I would love to try them with this product.

Maybe adafruit could write some ?
