Ultimate GPS Shield SD Logging

Post by jhovak »

Can the Ultimate GPS Logger Shield be set to log to the sdcard without an arduino attached? I'm trying to make the smallest data logging GPS possible with 1 Hz logging. I looked at flora, but I'd still need sd storage.

You need the Arduino for SD logging. The GPS can do internal logging. See the LOCUS examples, and the LOCUS description in the tutorial:

Unfortunately I need better than 15 seconds. I wonder if I could build an arduino on the proto area.

A Teensy should fit on the proto area...

Thanks, but I realized power regulation will be an issue if I want to use 3.7v lion packs. I think Flora is the way to go.

There's also the Teensy3.0 or Teensy 3.1. those will run on 3.7
