Problems with 2.8" TFT Touch Shield for Arduino v2

Post by effect0r »

Greetings!

I recently received the shield mentioned in the subject. The LCD lights up and displays everything just fine. Shortly after, I load up the paint demo, which doesn't seem to work (as in, everything draws fine, just not able to use the touch stuff). After studying the board, I noticed that the double-stick tape was not really holding down the LCD to the shield. When I gently lifted up the LCD, the touch screen (magically) works. If I set it back down on the shield, it no longer functions, and causes the screen to go white, requiring a full reset of the arduino.

Basically, my question is what should I do from here? I'd really rather have the LCD on the shield and not propped up on something else to go into my case. Is it eligable for a replacement? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
