Can the motor shield detect when a DC servo is saturated (prevented from moving?)
I'm using 2 DC motors from a rear view mirror and want to set center of travel for X and Y by detecting when the motor draws more current. During normal movement the motors draw about 65mA and at end of travel about 120mA. Knowing the limits the center of travel can be calculated and set in both directions.
I could monitor the current with a .01ohm resistor and the analog inputs although that will take up program space. I was hoping the motor shield could tell me directly.

No. The motor shield does not have current sensing capabilities.
