Servo Shield

Post by noid »

Hi.
I am trying to test this https://www.adafruit.com/product/1411 with 1 tower pro mg996r servo on channel 0 of the board. Eventually it will be changed to 14 servos.
I used the servo example code and the servo is not moving. However, if I remove the servo and plug it in again, it moves about 20 degrees and then stops.

the output from the serial monitor is this:

16 channel Servo test!
Estimated pre-scale: 112.03
Final pre-scale: 112

The example code goes through all 16 channels, one at a time. It takes a while to go through the whole cycle, so if you only have one servo plugged in, you have to wait some time between moves. Leave it plugged in and watch the serial output until it goes through at least one full cycle. (0-15)

Some of your solder joints have not flowed well onto the surrounding solder pad. This guide can help you identify and repair the problem joints: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-gui ... n-problems
