Adafruit CC3000 Arduino Uno R3 Pushingbox.com

Post by gadget_evilusions »

Hello,

Brand new to Arduino, and Adafruit, but not microcontrollers.

I am making my first project building a wi-fi connected, Arduino, that will using pushingbox.com to send my iphone push alerts using Prowl. I found the instructions here. http://makezine.com/projects/notifying- ... ushingbox/

They used the Arduino ethernet, but I would like to use the Adafruit CC3000 wifi shield so that I don't need a hard wired connection.

Before I get to far, would this even be possible. I am trying to buy all the components from Adafruit, especially since everything I know about Arduino has come from reading every lesson on the website. Thanks for any help in advance.

P.S. I should note, that if this works, I will probably be building 50 of them.

Step one shows the Arduino sending a "get" to pushingbox and the CC3000 can do that so I would think this would work.
