Motor shield not working program never compiles.

Post by Brinnan »

Hope you can help me with this. Purchased the V2 and have not been able to get it to work. The item below is the items purchased. The motor I had working on another driver, so I am sure that works. I ordered that from Sparkfun before I found your website.

I have downloaded the software and when I open I have other thing also but these are the things that I think I have wrong.

When I run the stepper test I go to compile and it never does so I am almost sure it is software related. I would find it very hard to believe that there is something wrong with the board. Could you send me a really small program that would make it spin and then maybe I can figure it out from there.

AFMotor is an older library for use with V1 of the motor shield. For the V2 shield, you need the V2 libraries linked in the tutorial: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-mot ... l-software
