CC3000 stuck at initializing CC3000

Post by aeyko »

Hello,

I tried my CC3000 but my Arduino board doesn't seams to recognize it. The log is stuck at "Initializing CC3000". The problem is that I don't have any Soldering Station at home. Is it absolutely necessary to solders my CC3000 to the wires ? The weird stuff is that the green light on the CC3000 board works, so it gets powered by my Arduino. Why can't it communicate with it ?

Here is some picture that might help.

Thanks in advance for your answer,
Best regards,
Adonis

Thanks for your prompt answer ! I'll buy a Soldering Station then ;)

Just another stuff. Can I solder the CC3000 board to my Shield stacking headers (as build on the pictures) ? Or I need to solder on the headers that came with the board (the one describe on the CC3000 building tutorial) ? Because I still want to have some input on my board without solder every of prototype.

Many thanks for your answer and for the great support.

Adonis

You can use stacking headers. All your boards should have the Arduino pins soldered in for good connections.
