What is the graphic at the start from?

Postby dimwitf » Fri Jul 10, 2009 1:25 pm

Of course the entire project is interesting...but the first few seconds of the video remind me a lot of an old application/screensaver (early versions were standalone apps), which simulated a bunch of "stars" connected by lines.
They'd move around, new ones would appear and eventually die, and (in later versions) sometimes would "nova" and turn themselves into fireballs which would fly off-screen.
I know it's a poor description, but I'm not finding the name of it. In any event, I'm curious what was used to obtain that effect of the starry blobs at the start of the video. Anyone know what the hell I'm talking about?

I would guess that it's a screen saver? If so, it's not one that I've seen before. Pretty cool, though.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think I've read somewhere that it was written with Processing...
