SIMReader Works Great

Post by darkphoenix245 »

Just got my SIMReader kit in the mail and had it together about an hour later. Works flawlessly. Since I already had the Boarduino's USB FTDI cable, I omitted the 9V battery connector and DB9 port (for now at least) to make the board a bit more compact. Lucky for me I have 3 or 4 pretty useless SIMs to play around with. Reading contact info, SMS messages, and SIM info all works great on every card I've tried so far. I was wondering something though, is there any way to actually make use of the 6-digit hex "Location" code, or is that basically proprietary information? Anyway, props to ladyada for another fine kit, and good luck to everybody building theirs.
