Hi,
I'm having a little problem with getting avrdude to read / write from the fuzebox. I'm running the latest version of Leopard.
The symptoms:
- Fuzebox is powered by the cable, so the device is correctly enabled in Leopard (drivers are working).
- The /dev/uc.usbserial-BANNED device is present.
- I've modified the cable to invert RTS#.
- Fuzebox reboots after avrdude shuts down, so the RTS# 'hack' works.
avrdude output:
Jean-Pauls-MacBook-Air:~ jp$ avrdude -p m644 -c stk500v1 -P /dev/cu.usbserial-FTRHXC2W
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Jean-Paul
P.S. I was just wondering, do I have to set baud rates at all?
avrdude can't talk to my fuzebox

Re: avrdude can't talk to my fuzebox
I've checked the pins on the board and only the black and brown pins are connected (to GND). From what I can tell, this is supposed to be this way. Other than that, all pins seem to be working fine.
So hopefully it's a software thing.
Cheers,
jp

Re: avrdude can't talk to my fuzebox
So,
I managed to hook it up to a PC again:
C:\>avrdude -p m644 -c stk500v1 -P COM4
avrdude: AVR device initialized and ready to accept instructions
Reading | ################################################## | 100% 0.08s
avrdude: Device signature = 0x1e9609
avrdude: safemode: Fuses OK
avrdude done. Thank you.
So it's definitely a software thing. I really want to have this working on my Macbook laptop because that's my main dev system.
Thanks in advance,
Jean-Paul
