3.3V Xbee Adapter Pins

I have an Adafruit Xbee adapter that I'm trying to use to update a 3.3V LCD from my computer.

I'm planning on powering the Xbee and LCD with 4 NiMH AA batteries. I was just about to wire up a circuit to regulate the battery voltage, when I noticed the 3V pins on the Xbee adapter.

Can I use those pins (#1 and #10) to power my 3.3V LCD, if I connect the battery pack directly to the 5V and ground pins on the Xbee adapter? Or should I still make a circuit to regulate the voltage for both?

The 5v pins are fed to a 3.3v regulator which powers the level shifter and is also available on pins 1 & 10.
You should be fine powering it with the 4.8v from your NiMH cells.
