USB adapter and Pi

Will the USB XBee adapter play nice with a raspberry pi? The rover im building sure hopes it will

Not sure if FTDI chips are supported on the Pi, unfortunately

Bummer. Is it safe to assume that i oculd use the cobbler breakout board and connect up the xbee via the cobber breakout board?

that's right! check out our NFC + Pi breakout tutorial for how to disable the console, then you can use the 3v ttl serial port
